The Rexcue Railroad is for people who want to help transport rescued Cornish
and Devon Rex to their new homes, usually in the U.S. Other "mutant fur"
breeds: Sphynx, Selkirk Rex, Peterbald, Donskoy (aka Don Sphynx or Don
Hairless), American Wirehair and LaPerm may be considered on an individual
case basis. Additionally, members of the list may discuss the special
emotional and physical needs a rescued cat may have.
We only transport altered cats that are rescues, not cats that have been
purchased from a breeder. Another cat may be allowed to join the
transport but only if one of the listed breeds is also being transported.
This list is NOT intended for people who want a free cat!

The NFCFA has had very few breed rescues over the past 20+ years and this is
due in part to the NFCFA Code of Ethics that our Breeders sign and stand
by. In most cases if a cat has to be given up for adoption it is done
through the breeder.
If you know of a pure bred Norwegian Forest Cat that needs to be rescued,
please inform the Primary Regional Contact (listed on the About
NFCFA Officers page) by choosing your location below.
If you are interested on adopting, please fill our our
adoption form to tell us more about you, so we can place you with the
correct cat. We will also be able to notify you when cats are available.
